A rendezvous between old friends

Saven sad down against an old burnt down building looking around at the damaged windows of abandoned homes and robbed stores. This place had gone to the dogs and everyone here knew it. He looked at his wristwatch and shook his head waiting to see when he friend Aiden would get there like he promised that he would. Saven wasn't the type to say that he would just wait endlessly for someone. The winds blew his black and white hair rapidly as a crumpled up news paper bounced along side the road. The church bell in the distance began to ring and it seemed as though it was going to be another dull day here in West Radell.

"Dammit Aiden..where the hell are you?"

"There isn't anything good ever on the radio..."

Aiden sped from street to street in his V.C.E. Hunter, a black muscle car with two white racing stripes from the front to the back, with his arm out of the window and cigarette in his mouth. He was dressed in his normal black tie, white dress shirt, black vest, pants and dress shoes, his jaw length black hair blowing in the wind as he made his way to his friend Saven. Seeing Saven, Aiden quickly jerked at the wheel of his car, doing a 180 as he stopped in a parking spot between a broken down car with no wheels and an old cracked bathtub someone was throwing away. Aiden got out of his car, kicking the door closed as he walked to Saven.

"Whats up Saven, long time no see! How ya been?"

Saven looked at the time and then at Aiden knowing that this was like him to be late as usual. He stood up and walked down from the building steps towards Aiden's car and spit to the side a little before responding.

"What took you so long..I was starting to get the feeling that you stood me up, anyway, got my stuff?"

Aiden smiled as he shook his head. This wasn't the first time Saven wanted him to buy their stuff. But he was used to it. He leaned against the hood of his car looking at Saven while after turning his head and crossing his arms and legs.

"Later in the Dorms man! What are we gonna do for the time being?"

"I dunno, could of been smoking, but someone didn't bring it, anyway whats with this stupid town? Everything all screwed up and shit..I hate this place I need to get myself out of here."

"Yeah yeah yeah....Well Valdyr isn't much better...except the cars have tires there...Why don't you move into the Academy Dorms with me? Its better than this place that's for sure..."

"And what hear those teachers bitch at me again..Sorry man not interested, I'm just gonna get kicked out."

"Well you have nothing better to do...cigarette?"

Aiden took out a pack of cigarettes, flicking it so only one stuck out of the pack.

Saven took the cigarette as offered before pulling out a lighter and lighting it to take a smoke. He closed his eyes and sighed in relief after taking a hit of the cigarette.

"Damn I needed that..Anyway isn't the new semester gonna start soon? Why bother going back I'm just gonna fail again, need I remind you that I was there a year earlier than you."

"Well if your gonna be a downer about it..."

Aiden quickly threw his body up onto his feet as he spun and threw a backfist towards the back of Saven's head. The ash from his cigarette fell due to the speed and force that he jerked his body with.

Saven rubbed his head feeling the pain and was about to retaliate but because he was the one that gave him a cigarette he didn't feel like hitting him. At least not yet there was still plenty of time left in the day for him to kick his ass. Saven smoked the remainder of his cigarette and looked up at the sky when the day was now rolling in.

"Whatever man..I'll go back, but lets grab some booze first."

"Now your talkin! Get in."

Aiden hopped into his car, slamming the door after he sat down and turned his key triggering the ignition. The car roared as birds on the power lines above flew away. He looked at Saven and waited for him to enter the car so they could leave.

"Get in man!"

Saven walked around and entered the passenger side of Aiden's car before closing the door. He pulled the seat back laying and enjoying the radio music that was playing. It was gonna be one hell of a day for him since the new semester was starting soon.

"Lets roll.."

Aiden slammed the pedal down roaring through the streets of West Radell. The alcohol was as good in West Radell as the neighborhood was bad and Aiden was definitely in the mood for it. Aiden turned his radio onto a station that played "fifty-nine minutes of music every hour," as he drove to the Red Eye Pub, parking in the parking lot only to flip off a guy who had cursed at him for taking his spot. Aiden then got out of his car and slammed the door. He took another cigarette from his pack and put it in his mouth, lighting it with a small spark of electricity from his fingers.

"Ready Saven?"

Saven got out of the car looking at his favorite Pub and smirked he knew it was time to get wasted and this was his favorite spot to do it. Walking towards the entrance of the Pub the man who's spot Aiden had took stared him down. Saven being the man that he was replied with a simple middle finger before looking at Aiden to enter the Pub.

"You pick the right spots man..Lets go."

Aiden walked into the pub with a smile on his face and a cigarette softly being bitten between his teeth. He sat on the bar stool and spun around once before slapping the table and ordering two beers for him and well....him....Aiden looked as Saven while ashing his cigarette.

"So what are you havin?"

Saven stayed quiet looking at the table in silence expecting him to know that by now all he ever drunk at bars was Vodka. Saven looked around already knowing that things aren't gonna go too well since he noticed that the people in the bar were staring him down. He closed his eyes and tried to ignore them but something was telling him to start a fight, but of all places he did not want to get kicked out of this bar again.


"Look around.."

Aiden looked around while drinking from his freshly poured beer giving him a froth mustache. He noticed that there were an awful lot of people that where staring at them and Aiden didn't know if he liked it or not. Turning to Saven with his frothy mustached face Aiden whispered to him.

"I don't exactly think they want us here.."

Saven instantly slammed his hands on the table and stood up in response to Aiden's words before turning around to face everyone that was staring at them. He cracked his knuckles knowing that things were gonna get rough and he was ready to take on anyone or anything that was about to try to mess with him and his drinking time.

"Okay..I know your all staring at me, so what?..Got something to say, I'll take all you bitches on."

Aiden finished his beer and wiped the mustache of froth from his face. He took out a pair of black small hoop earrings from his pocket and put them on. It was his own little good luck charm for a fight to wear them. As Aiden stretched out his neck he waited for someone to make the first move.

"I hope this turns out to be fun, heh heh heh..."

Not trying to hear this type of disrespect one of the men got up and rushed at Saven pulling out a pocket knife. He was angry that this man came out of nowhere and disrespected the whole bar in the manner that he did. Saven looked at him not flinching an inch and upon his thrust with the knife grabbed his hand pulling him forward and releasing him to get a little range to his face. Saven jabbed the man twice in the face before hip tossing him over the table of the into some of the drinks that were up for display as he turned back to the other with his hands up ready in case anyone else wanted to play dumb and come at him.

"I want some fun too!"

Aiden ran up to a tall man with a heavy build. As he reached him he grabbed him from around his neck and sent a devastating knee to his chin, knocking him out on contact. Aiden got into a boxers stance as he then sent a jab and an uppercut to a man who did nothing more than get into a fighting stance. Aiden was having fun. The academy didn't have fun brawls like this and Aiden missed it. As Aiden savored the moment a large man bearhugged him from behind. As Aiden fidgited while in the bear hug he shifted his body to the right as he showed his flexibility and sent a knee past his head, hitting the man behind him who in turn let Aiden go.

"Who gets the next one Saven? Me or you?"

Saven smirked knowing that now things were going to get interesting. He cracked his knuckles and dashed towards a man who picked up a bottle ready to swing it at Aiden and elbowed him in his chest sending him to the ground instantly. Now people started to get involved, guns started to draw and clips were loaded. Moving back towards Aiden watching his back as he knew that he was doing the same for him, Saven continued to observe the people knowing that at any moment thing could get heated. It was at that moment sirens began to wail as the cops were in route. All the commotion was attracting the cops and Saven was in no mood to get arrested again. Turning to the door he tapped Aiden on his should and jetted out the door heading to his car waiting for him to start it up.

Aiden ran out of the pub behind Saven, happy that he finally was able to fight. He got into his V.C.E. Hunter and started the car, revving it before he reversed and sped away from the pub. Police cars could be seen passing them as they began to leave the area. Aiden pulled out another cigarette as his last one fell out of his mouth during the brawl. He snapped his fingers sending a tiny shock into the tip of the cigarette, lighting it.

"Now tell me that wasn't fun huh?"

Saven with his arms on the slightly out the car window closed his eyes and smirked at the comment that Aiden said. He indeed had a blast fighting since he was good at it but he just wished he could have gotten a shot of some booze. There was going to be other opportunities and he'll grab them when the time arises. For now he was calm that he got to fight, Saven turned to Aiden and nodded looking forward at the road.

"Yeah..Now lets get outta here."

"Thats exactly what I was thinking."

Aiden took a long drag from his cigarette as he drove onto the highway connecting the cities towards the academy. He couldn't wait for the new semester to start. He was going to see new powers, new people, and hopefully new food in the Recreation Hall. This was all he could think about as he made his way to the academy.
