The Start Of A New Mission

The guards each lined themselves up perfectly one after another covering the sides of the hallway that lead all the way to the elevator, the stood at attention each armed to the core with weaponry that stated their military positions. The were men trained to fight and protect and mainly because of this, they were all known as the Sei-Shinjitai Force. Brian Striker the Captain of this entire unit walked through a door which was at the start of the hallway instantly greeted with a solute by each and every soldier that stood in the hall. He returned their solute with his own before turning to one of his soldiers nodding signaling him to get the boy that was suppose to go on a very important mission.

Jack Riley was in his room sitting back watching the news drinking a cup of coffee before he heard a knock. His eyes turned instantly as he moved his hand to the remote turning off the television set and heading towards the door.
"The Captain is ready for you.." The soldier addressed him and instantly Jack nodded throwing on his brown jacket and placing his headpiece communicator on his left ear. He walked down the hallway thinking to himself what today's mission held for him, the captain had been talking about it for weeks and it seemed to be of the S rank. Jack felt a little bit cocky as he knew that he was the best operative for the unit as of this point and he could understand why the captain would choose him for this mission.
"I hope this mission's gonna rock." Jack said to himself almost in a whisper, he began thinking about the last mission he was on in Radell where he was almost killed but his inner soul power awakened slightly giving him the skill to fight on and come back alive. Although barely he was still curious as to how that happened. Now wasn't the time for questions however it was time for a mission, heading into the elevator Jack loaded his 9mm handgun, he closed his eyes for a little opening them to view the city at sunrise through the glass exterior of the elevator. Instantly as he reached the top he was also greeted with a solute, nodding back he headed down the hallway in front of his captain soluting and awaiting his orders.

"Sir...What's the mission for today?"

Brian gave a solute to Jack as he entered, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a P.C.D handing it to him as he knew that he would need it for now. It was the beginning of the mission and he would rarely hear from him after he departs here today.

"What the heck is this thing?"

"It's a Personal Communication Device..or P.C.D as the V.C.E labeled it, you'll be needing this for your mission, today is the day you start the Academy. You already know the details from our last meeting so I'll be sure to keep this brief, Your mission is to get as much information as possible from the new upcoming Sei-Mancer to insure that the peace can be maintained."

"Got it...But what am I gonna do with this? I don't think I should walk around with this thing, I mean wouldn't I already be able to contact you through my headset?"

"Affirmative..But you will need that in event that you meet someone that you think is worth studying, it lessens the suspicion of you being an operative, you'll contact people through that only using the headset to report to me when you learn something new..I will make sure to contact you through that as well giving you objectives when the time calls depending on what you report.."

"Understood..So the director is expecting me today right?"

"Correct, you'll be able to Rendezvous with a squad outside that will escort you to him personally. Remember this mission is covert, so you have to be as discrete as possible when you report to me."

"Roger..I'm guessing with the importance of this mission I'm gonna need some firepower, lets talk weapons, what you got for me?"

"Nothing...The use of deadly force is only to be considered as a last resort should you arrive in that situation, you'll be fine with the handgun."

"Wait you heard the reports about Radell, they have students in there right and you want me in there unarmed?"

"That correct, Your going to have to avoid sever conflict when your there, we cannot afford to have you blow your cover, now since your a bit concerned with your weapons, give me your Handgun."

Jack nodded reaching into his jacket pulling out the Handgun passing it to his captain, he was unsure of what he needed the handgun for but he knew that it wasn't wise to question him.

Brian unloaded the gun taking out all the bullets from the clip placing new red colored bullets within the gun, he also handed Jack three boxes of different ammo types in case he needed them in a fight. Although he expected that Jack was not really going to need this he had to make sure, he knew how his personality gets. Brian then handed the gun back to Jack walking back to his original standing position.

"There."

Jack looked at the gun a little confused as he placed it back in his jacket. He didn't see a point in him doing what he did but it was best for him not to query. He looked back at his captain brushing some of his blond hair from his face.

"What did you just do captain?"

"Those are custom rounds, there will be no need for actual gunfire yet so for now you'll be using those if you get into conflict. The ones loaded are the Flame rounds, the are concentrated energy shells that ignite on contact. There in the red box, the blue box contains Nitrogen Rounds, not as effective as the Flame Rounds, but these round can freeze a body part if the bullets connect properly, a few shots could have someone frozen solid, but lets not get to that point. The last box, the green one is Acid Rounds, these bullets seem to dissolve almost as quickly as they're fired, the send a shot of acid at a target burning through without fail. Now I know I don't need to remind you that those are not something to get trigger happy off of. You are not to use them unless you have to understand."

"Heh..Figures I get kick ass equipment and you have to be the killjoy huh Captain?"

"Alright thats enough of that you smart ass...Anyway it is to insure your safety for mission success, now we can't waste anymore time, as of right now you mission begins. Lets go..Move out!"

"Sir!" Jack spoke with a solute, he turned running down the hallway to the elevator he came from pressing the ground floor. The doors closed as he cracked his knuckles and neck getting himself ready for the start of a mission. As he reached the outside he met up with the two soldiers that had a black van ready for him to head to the Academy as the captain had noticed. To his surprise they even packed his bags for him, with a smirk he walked over to the Van as one soldier opened the door and closed it behind him. The two men shortly after entered the van driving it down away from the headquarters.

"Jack..Your the only hope we have for this mission, do not fail me..I'm counting on ya kid."
